Frequently asked questions

How do I register as a blood donor?

Tap "Become a donor", create your profile, add your blood group, and complete a quick identity and health check. Most donors are verified within minutes and receive a digital donor card.

Who is eligible to donate blood?

Generally, healthy adults aged 18–65 weighing over 50kg can donate. You must wait a minimum interval between donations (typically 8–12 weeks) and pass a short health screening at the centre.

How often can I donate?

Whole blood can usually be donated every 8–12 weeks. RedDonor automatically tracks your last donation and only shows you as available once you are eligible again.

How does the Emergency SOS work?

One tap on SOS broadcasts a critical request to every compatible, verified donor and blood bank nearby in real time. Responders can accept instantly and are routed to the hospital.

How is my personal & health data protected?

All health and identity data is encrypted, and only shared with hospitals or banks you approve. You control your visibility and can pause donor alerts at any time from Settings.

What documents do I need for verification?

A government-issued ID (National ID, passport or driving licence) is required for KYC. Hospitals and blood banks additionally provide organisation registration documents.

How do points, badges and rewards work?

You earn points for every donation, emergency response and referral. Points unlock badges, climb your leaderboard rank and can be redeemed for partner perks.

Is RedDonor free to use?

Yes. RedDonor is completely free for donors and patients. Blood is never bought or sold on the platform — donations are always voluntary.

Need blood urgently?

Don't search — broadcast. Emergency SOS alerts every compatible donor & bank nearby instantly.
